23 MORE PEOPLE TRAINED IN THE HEARING VOICES APPROACH!

This week, 23 of our incredible team members spent two days learning an approach that we genuinely believe can change lives!

The Hearing Voices Movement challenges the traditional way we understand hearing voices. Rather than focusing solely on eliminating voices, it encourages curiosity, understanding and helping people explore their experiences, reduce distress and build a different relationship with their voices.

Why is this so important to us?

Because we walk alongside people who hear voices EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Since some of our team completed this training, we’ve been putting the approach into practice. We launched our own Hearing Voices Support Group, where every week we come together, share experiences, explore strategies and support one another.

And the outcomes speak for themselves.

 “I don’t feel alone anymore.”

“My voices and I are starting to get a better understanding of each other.”

“I’m learning to change the relationship with my voices.”

“I didn’t realise there were others just like me.”

We see the changes. We see distress decreasing. We see people who were once completely isolated finding connection, leaving their homes and feeling understood.

Sometimes recovery isn’t about making the voices disappear. It’s about changing the relationship with them.

So why wouldn’t we equip the very people providing direct support with the tools to make that difference?

A massive thank you to Uniting Vic.Tas Voices Vic for coming out from the big smoke and spending two days sharing this incredible approach with our team!

23 more people equipped to listen differently, understand more deeply and support without judgement.

We cannot wait to see the impact!

Identity Before Diagnosis. Always.
