A Message from the Director

Anyone that knows me knows I love a good hyperfocus 😂

For the last few weeks, I've been pouring that hyperfocus into this little project, and I'm pretty proud of how it's turned out.

After completing the Hearing Voices training through Voices Vic last year, I went searching for resources that could support voice hearers. While there are some fantastic resources available, I kept finding that information was spread across multiple documents, websites and worksheets.

I wanted something practical. Something that brought everything together in one place.

So I created one 💫

Using the principles of the Hearing Voices Approach, along with the knowledge and skills gained through the training delivered by Voices Vic, I developed a Hearing Voices Workbook designed to help voice hearers explore, understand and work with their experiences in a meaningful way.

The workbook is not about telling people their experiences aren't real. It's about curiosity, understanding, reducing distress, building coping strategies, identifying patterns, and supporting people to find what works for them.

We will be using the workbook in our Hearing Voices Support Group and have also started incorporating sections into direct support work where appropriate. The early results have been incredibly encouraging.

One of the things I'm most proud of is that before releasing it, I sent the workbook to the absolute legends at Voices Vic for feedback. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and I'm excited that there are plans for the resource to be utilised within the Voices Vic St Kilda Hearing Voices Group 🙌

That means a lot.

The Hearing Voices Movement has taught me so much about listening differently, being curious instead of fearful, and supporting people to understand their experiences rather than trying to "fix" them. The positive feedback from the people who have been leading this work for years is incredibly humbling.

And because I'm a big believer in sharing resources rather than keeping them locked away, we've made it available for others to use too.

A huge thank you to our superstar Nicole Lee for helping get everything uploaded and ready to go.

You can download the workbook here 👇

The workbook is protected by copyright, however you are welcome to download, print and distribute it. We simply ask that the content is not altered and that T and K Support Services is acknowledged if you choose to use it.

If you do download it, I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback.

Every voice hearer deserves access to tools that support understanding, hope and recovery. If this resource helps even one person feel less alone, more understood, or more empowered, then every hour spent creating it was worth it.
