Meet Danielle Jones - Our Day Program Manager

At T & K Support Services, our Day Program thrives because of passionate team members who genuinely care about the people they support. Danielle Jones brings warmth, experience, and a deep commitment to empowering others - helping create an environment where participants feel safe, respected, and inspired to grow.

Inspired to Make a Difference

Danielle’s journey into support work began with encouragement from a close friend - but it was her own heart for helping others that truly guided her path.

“I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a difference in people’s lives,” she says.

After 28 years working as an early childhood educator - including completing her Diploma and stepping into a director role for 12 months during maternity leave coverage - Danielle made the transition into disability support, bringing decades of experience in care, leadership, and nurturing environments.

Why T & K?

Danielle was drawn to T & K because of its strong values, beliefs, and reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred services.

The alignment in values made it clear this was an organisation where she could continue doing meaningful work - but in a new and impactful way.

What She Loves Most About the Sector

For Danielle, the most rewarding part of her role is witnessing growth.

“Watching participants build independence, achieve their goals - big or small - develop new friendships, and thrive in a positive environment is incredibly rewarding.”

She is passionate about empowering people to make their own choices, develop new skills, and actively participate in their communities.

One of her key goals is to continue building a Day Program that caters to individual needs - ensuring everyone involved feels safe, respected, and supported.

Experience and Contribution

With nearly three decades in early childhood education, Danielle brings patience, leadership, and a deep understanding of individual development. She hopes to contribute by:

  • Providing consistent, person-centred support

  • Promoting independence, dignity, and choice

  • Creating a safe and positive environment

  • Continuing to develop her own skills

  • Being a reliable and proactive team member

She believes progress looks different for everyone.

“Sometimes the smallest steps are actually the biggest achievements,” she reflects.

“It’s about meeting people where they are.”

Life Outside of Work

Outside of T & K, Danielle enjoys a full and active life. She loves:

  • Scrapbooking

  • Football and basketball

  • Bushwalking, camping, and fishing

  • Holidays

  • Spending time with family and friends

  • Walks outdoors

  • Cuddles with her two cats

Her favourites include stir-fries, the movie The Notebook, and 80s music.

Values That Guide Her Work

Respect, empathy, dignity, integrity, accountability - and above all, kindness - are the foundations of Danielle’s approach.

To her, community inclusion means true belonging.

“It’s ensuring people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else - not just being present in the community but feeling like they belong.”

Looking Ahead

Danielle is excited about continuing to learn, grow, and expand the Day Program to support even more participants. She looks forward to constantly developing new ideas and creating opportunities that help people build confidence and independence.

With her steady patience, nurturing nature, and passion for inclusion, Danielle plays a vital role in ensuring T & K Support Services remains a place where every individual is valued - and every achievement, no matter how small, is celebrated.
