We’re Coming Back: to NWC26

T & K Support Services is heading back to the Gold Coast, and we could not be more excited.

On 28 and 29 September 2026, the Neurodivergence Wellbeing Conference returns to the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, bringing together neurodivergent voices, lived experience, professionals, researchers and advocates for two days of learning, connection and conversations that have the power to create real change.

And this month, T & K is coming back with a message that sits at the very heart of everything we do.

Now, Lachy and Prue Are Taking the Stage

We are incredibly proud that Lachy Hartup and Prue Anderson will be presenting together at NWC26 with a session that represents exactly what Identity Before Diagnosis can look like in practice:

“Identity Before Diagnosis: He Was the Patient. She Was His Nurse. Now They’re Disrupting the System Together.”

Years ago, Lachy and Prue met within the mental health system.

Lachy was the patient.

Prue was his nurse.

Their roles were clearly defined by a traditional clinical system, with one person positioned as the patient and the other as the professional.

Today, that relationship looks very different.

They now stand alongside one another, bringing lived experience and professional experience together as valuable forms of knowledge and using both to challenge the way we think about support, power, identity and genuine person-led practice.

Their story represents something we believe deeply at T & K.

People should not remain trapped in the roles or labels a system once gave them.

People grow.

People change.

Relationships evolve.

And when lived experience is genuinely valued alongside professional knowledge, powerful things can happen.

Why This Conference Matters to Us

The 2026 Neurodivergence Wellbeing Conference is centred on moving “From Insight to Impact”, with a strong focus on elevating neurodivergent voices, bridging lived experience and research, and exploring what genuine inclusion and belonging can look like across our communities and systems.

That conversation strongly aligns with what T & K stands for.

We want to be part of spaces where lived experience is not simply included as an afterthought.

We want it valued.

We want people with lived experience at the table.

We want services designed with people, not just for them.

We want conversations that challenge outdated ideas about what support should look like.

Most importantly, we want people to be recognised as human beings before they are recognised as diagnoses.

We’re Coming Back With a Message

WE started the conversation.

AND we’re coming back ready to make it even louder.

We’re bringing lived experience.

We’re bringing professional experience.

We’re bringing conversations that might challenge people.

We’re bringing stories that matter.

And we’re bringing a message we hope people take home with them long after the conference finishes:

Identity Before Diagnosis.

Because a person is not their diagnosis.

A person is not their file.

A person is not a list of symptoms or support needs.

They are a whole human being.

And that is where support should always begin.

Gold Coast, T & K is coming back.

We cannot wait to see you at the 2026 Neurodivergence Wellbeing Conference.

28–29 September 2026 RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast

Let’s keep challenging the system.

Let’s keep elevating lived experience.

And let’s keep putting Identity Before Diagnosis.
